Sunkissed Pier

Description

When most people take pictures of the pier, it’s either way off to the side or right under it. After taking those shots several times, I wanted to try something different. After playing around with multiple angles and perspectives, I found this one angle where the light and the pillars aligned perfectly. One of my favorite things to get is the light finding its way through a gap in the scene. In this scene, I tried a few spots and ended up loving this angle.

I actually have to give credit to my mom for this shot. While I was way off to the side, my mom was also taking pictures on her phone and she showed me this angle. It’s funny how we sometimes get distracted by thinking about the big wide picture that we miss some of the tighter spots and closer angles. Once I saw her photo, I ran over, waited for a moment for the sun to get right into position through the pillars, and ended up with this unique shot.
